Helping Kids and Parents Heal Through Creativity, Connection, and Compassion
When your child is hurting, it affects the whole family. You’ve done your best — maybe you’ve tried different strategies, read parenting books, or even started therapy before. But despite all your efforts, the struggle continues. Your child is still overwhelmed, and you're left feeling exhausted, worried, and unsure where to turn next.
You're not alone — and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
I provide trauma-informed therapy for children, teens, and parents in the Gateway Arts District, and I specialize in using play therapy, expressive arts, and somatic therapy to help families reconnect and heal.
Therapy That Meets Kids Where They Are
Children often can’t express what they’re feeling through words alone. That’s why I use play therapy, expressive arts, and body-based therapies to help kids feel safe, seen, and understood. These methods allow children to explore emotions, work through challenges, and build confidence in a way that’s natural to them.
Whether your child is facing anxiety, behavioral challenges, medical stress, low self-esteem, or struggles related to neurodivergence, I work with families from all over Prince George's County, MD, to uncover the root of the problem and create a path forward that feels doable and hopeful. Together, we’ll explore the deeper connections between mind, body, and spirit to restore balance and emotional well-being.
Support for the Whole Family
Parenting a struggling child is one of the hardest things you can face — especially when you feel isolated, blamed, or burned out. I provide support not just for your child, but for you as a parent too. Through individual and family therapy, we’ll build tools together that make everyday life feel more manageable, connected, and calm.
Whether you need support with anxiety, emotional regulation, or navigating the challenges of parenting a neurodivergent child, my trauma-responsive care focuses on creating lasting change, not just managing symptoms.
An Integrative, Trauma-Responsive Approach
Every child is unique — and so is every therapy process. I draw from over 30 years of experience and specialize in approaches that are:
-
Trauma-informed and attachment-focused
-
Creative and experiential, using art, play, and movement
-
Body-aware and somatic, helping kids and adults reconnect with their inner sense of safety and balance
Based in the Hyattsville Arts District, I offer in-person, virtual, and hybrid therapy options to support families across College Park, Mount Rainier, Takoma Park, Riverdale Park, and throughout Maryland.
